Wild Water Kingdom offers a number of attractions for everyone in the family. Wild Water Kingdom, Canada’s largest water park employs more than 400 team members every summer season, including more than 120 fully qualified lifeguards and water slide attendants. Wild Water Kingdom requires that all that all water slide attendants have attained their Lifesaving Society Wading Pool Attendant qualification certificate. They must also meet the minimum Ontario Health and Safety requirements of a Bronze Cross, completion of the Standard First Aid Certificate and a CPR level “C”. Our Lifeguards are certified, fully trained by the Lifesaving Society and hold a NLS, (National Lifeguard Service), as well as Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR level “C”. Wild Water Kingdom also requires that all Lifeguards attain an NLS “Water Park Option” in addition to the standard “Pool Option” to best deal with the attractions unique to Wild Water Kingdom. Senior Lifeguards and Aquatic team member supervisors have all been employed by Wild Water Kingdom for at least two years and undergo a vigorous retraining program prior to each season. This includes forty hours of specialized training conducted by the Aquatic Manager based on the National Life Saving Society’s updated policies and procedures. Prior to each operating season Wild Water Kingdom requires that each lifeguard attend a mandatory multiple day pre-season training session, this course is repeated mid-season. On an annual basis all of the parks team members are given a written performance review prior to the end each summer season.
